About This Blog

I'm Mario Alberto Arce — a Software Architect with 20+ years of enterprise experience.

I have designed and built production systems across Cloud & Serverless, API and IoT, automotive industry, healthcare, and SaaS platforms. The problems change. The engineering problems do not: tight coupling that resists refactoring, dependencies that follow you across projects, abstractions that were not abstract enough.

This blog is the documentation of how I solved those problems — specifically through PowerCSharp, a modular .NET ecosystem I designed and maintain as open-source software.

What this blog is

Every post on this blog is an Architectural Decision Record in narrative form. The structure is consistent:

  1. The exact problem
  2. What I considered and rejected, and why
  3. The decision I made
  4. The implementation
  5. The tradeoffs I accepted
  6. What breaks in Production if you misuse it

The audience is software architects, senior developers, engineers, and engineering leads making architecture decisions for .NET systems. If you are evaluating PowerCSharp for your team, looking for transferable patterns, or want to understand the engineering reasoning behind a library — this is the right place.

What this blog is not

  • Not a tutorial. I will not walk you through adding a NuGet package step by step.
  • Not a beginner resource. The posts assume fluency with C#, ASP.NET Core, and dependency injection.
  • Not a marketing channel. Every post must earn its word count with genuine technical depth.

The PowerCSharp Ecosystem

PowerCSharp is 10+ NuGet packages organized in three architectural layers:

  • Layer 1 — Core Library: Extension methods, utilities, helpers, and a .NET Framework compatibility bridge
  • Layer 2 — Features Framework: A module engine for runtime-toggled, flag-driven capabilities
  • Layer 3 — Pluggable Features: Self-contained capability packages (the Cache family is the first)

The Ecosystem page has the full reference map.
